Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports Receives Second Prize under Rajbhasha Shield Scheme 2024–25

Mumbai, July 29, 2026

The Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports has been conferred the Second Prize under the 'B' Region in the Rajbhasha Shield Scheme for the year 2024-25, in recognition of its outstanding performance in the implementation of the Official Language Policy and the progressive use of Hindi in official work. The award was announced by the Ministry through an Office Memorandum dated 27 July 2026.

The Rajbhasha Shield was presented by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon'ble Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, in the presence of Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), the distinguished Members of the Hindi Advisory Committee and Shri Vijay Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, during the Hindi Advisory Committee Meeting held on 29 July 2026 in New Delhi.

The award was received on behalf of the Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports by Smt. Anuradha H. Sharma, Joint Registrar along with Shri Randhir Kumar, Administrative Officer, who represented the Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports at the function pursuant to the Ministry's invitation to the award winning organisations.

The Rajbhasha Shield Scheme of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways recognises organisations demonstrating excellence in the implementation of the Official Language Policy and the progressive use of Hindi in official work. The award reflects the Adjudicatory Board for Major Ports sustained commitment to promoting the progressive use of Hindi in official functioning through efficient, transparent and citizen centric administration.

The recognition further reinforces the Board's continued efforts towards effective implementation of the Official Language Policy and strengthening the use of Hindi in official work in accordance with the Government of India's Rajbhasha initiatives.
